A women-led co-operative in Côte d’Ivoire aims to provide high-yielding cocoa trees for its members following help from Nestlé.

The 400 member co-op, which was created by women with aims to benefit women, is led by president Tothie Agathe Dowa.

It creates a farming community that supports their families’ livelihoods, as well as providing opportunities to independently market their cocoa.

Nestlé is helping them rejuvenate their plantations and increase yields by setting up a tree nursery and providing the necessary material.
